Kicking ol’ school into high gear, this one-of-a-kind singer stepped into the spotlight as a member of the American funk and R&B group New Rebirth (formally Nite-Liters) in 1975. Other members, namely Tony Churchill and Harvey Fuqua, joined together to create classic hit songs such as “Been Such a Long Time,” “Wildflower,” and “Coming from All Ends.”

Bell’s success went to another level after joining Motown’s “The Dazz Band” in 1983 as one of the leads, rocking with famed singers such as Philip Bailey and Ralph Johnson of the Earth Wind & Fire music group. With Bell’s smooth, sensual voice, the band produced hits such as “Let It Whip,” “Joystick,” and “Swoop.”

Bell is multi-talented and proficient in martial arts. He studied Judo with his father, James E. Bell, and traveled to Japan for special training.
