Born in Olympia, Washington, Rivers first rose to prominence as a pre-Olympic gymnast whose drive and discipline earned her Volunteer of the Year honors at just 16 years old. With a strong academic background in psychology and business law, she later relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her passion for acting and directing.
Make Yourself Known
Her entry into entertainment began with print and commercial work during her gymnastics career, eventually leading her to train with some of the top coaches in Los Angeles. In 2015, Rivers received the first annual Dan Velez Scholarship Award Fund, opening new doors in her artistic journey. Her credits include roles in Tapeworm (2010), Drama King (2009), and the short film Ponder (2009).
Keep Moving Forward
Rivers’s path has also been shaped by resilience. At just 16, she was struck by a car, an accident that left her unable to walk and confined to a wheelchair. Rather than allowing this setback to define her, Rivers transformed the challenge into purpose. She has dedicated herself to service through volunteer work with organizations such as the Union Rescue Mission, supporting Los Angeles’ unhoused community, and the USO, which uplifts veterans and military families. Through her production company, Southern Rivers Productions, she also founded Kits by Care-Actors, an initiative delivering care, creativity, and hope to those in need.
