Canoga Park, CA, April 18, 2024 – The pioneering show, The Able Show, proudly welcomes Dixson, the exceptionally talented musician and composer, celebrated with nominations for both an Oscar and a Grammy award. Both his musical career and personal journey, from singing in church to performing on the big stage, promise to thrill viewers in this week’s episode.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Dixson found his passion for R&B music early on. At age five, he greatly impressed his parents by singing Fred Hammond’s famous song “When the Spirit of the Lord “. Years later, Dixon attended the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, at the benefit of the Posse Foundation scholarship, where he participated in numerous ensembles, namely Christian musical groups.
Throughout his career, Dixson passionately studied all elements of music and mastered an impressive repertoire of eleven instruments. While he initially started as a music producer and vocal arranger in the music industry, he proved himself a talented singer by releasing covers on social media, followed by an appearance in the national spotlight on NBC’s The Voice. He got his big break when he signed with Roc Nation as a solo artist.
His nominations for the 2024 Oscars and Grammys highlight Dixson’s exceptional contributions to the world of music and cinema. The Oscar nomination recognizes Dixson’s outstanding achievement in composing for film, showcasing the artist’s ability to evoke emotion and enhance storytelling through music. Similarly, the Grammy nomination celebrates Dixson’s remarkable talent as a musician and underscores the artist’s influence on contemporary music culture. Dixson’s nominations culminate years of dedication, passion, and artistic vision. From composing evocative soundtracks for acclaimed films to producing chart-topping hits, his diverse body of work continues to resonate with audiences across the globe.
