With aspirations of becoming a history professor, Ben Murray-Bruce pursued his education with determination. After earning his West African School Certificate (WASC), he traveled to the United States to further his education, obtaining his first degree from the University of South Carolina in 1979. Upon returning to Nigeria, he entered the civil service and steadily advanced, ultimately serving as the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) from 1999 to 2003.

Television Presence

Murray-Bruce’s passion for media and entertainment soon led him to promote prestigious pageants, including the Miss Intercontinental Pageant (1986–1994) and the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) (1986). A pivotal friendship sparked the launch of Silverbird Productions, which quickly evolved into Silverbird Group, a renowned entertainment conglomerate. His newest endeavor is developing film and television to bridge Africa and America in Entertainment through Dream Magic Studios in Canoga Park, California, where The Able Show is filmed.
