Chris Angelo Word, the visionary behind the Life Driven Foundation, embodies the
resilience and compassion necessary to navigate life’s toughest challenges. His journey began in
2005 when he received the life-altering diagnosis of Colon Cancer. Enduring surgeries,
chemotherapy, and radiation treatments, Chris witnessed firsthand the toll cancer takes,
particularly on children undergoing similar battles.

During his time at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he underwent treatment, Chris was
moved by the plight of young cancer patients. Inspired by their courage and determination, he
conceived the idea of the Life Driven Foundation as a beacon of hope for children fighting for
their lives. In September 2006, armed with a vision to support cancer research, provide access to
resources, and promote awareness and prevention, Chris established Life Driven as a 501(c)(3)
non-profit organization.

Chris’s personal triumph over cancer fueled his commitment to helping others navigate their own
journeys with resilience and hope. His belief in the power of a smile as a catalyst for healing
became the cornerstone of Life Driven’s mission. By empowering children to transition from
cancer patients to joyful, carefree kids once again, Chris aimed to create a ripple effect of
positivity and support in the fight against cancer.

Joining Chris in his mission is Sam Watson, a renowned figure in both the boxing and music
industries. As a Premier Boxing Champions Ambassador and the patriarch of “Team Watson,”
Sam brings his passion for community outreach and philanthropy to Life Driven Foundation.
With a personal connection to cancer as a kidney cancer survivor, Sam’s dedication to raising
awareness, advocating for early screening, and supporting families affected by the disease aligns
seamlessly with Life Driven’s goals.
