Gary “G Thang” Johnson is an accomplished actor noted for his comedic timing in television shows. Johnson started his stand-up career at The Funny Bones Comedy Club in 1994 and has opened for some of the biggest names in comedy, including Mike Epps, Cedric the Entertainer, Steve Harvey, DL Hughley, and Chris Rock. He toured with Mike Epps on the “Don’t Take It Personal” Tour and recently wrapped season one of BET’s Happily Ever After.

Johnson landed roles on various television sitcoms, including “Girlfriends” (2000-08), “Half & Half” (UPN, 2002-06), and “All of Us” (2003-07). Johnson continued his comedic performances throughout the early 2000s, appearing on “Love, Inc.” (UPN, 2005-06), “In Case of Emergency” (ABC, 2006-07) and “The Game” (2006-15) Johnson also played roles on “Frank TV” (TBS, 2007-08) and “Real Husbands of Hollywood” (BET, 2012-), and “Black-ish” (ABC, 2014-).

Johnson appeared in numerous films, including the comedic adventure “Disaster Movie” (2008) with Matt Lanter, the Brad Pitt biopic drama “Moneyball” (2011), and the crime drama “Cold Creek Manor” (2003) with Dennis Quaid. He also had roles in films during these years, including the Mo’Nique dramatic comedy “Hair Show” (2004) and “The Seat Filler” (2004).

Additional acting credits include Bentley Kyle Evans and Trenten Gumbs’ Grown Folks, MTV’s Punk’d with Ashton Kutcher, and Showtime’s Mike Epps Presents.

Sitcho Ass Down is Executive Produced by Gary “G Thang” Johnson, Bentley Kyle Evans, and Valarie Benning Thompson. Brett Dismuke, Nikki Love, and Kate Farrell serve as Executive Producers for ALLBLK.
