Reginald T. Dorsey is an award-winning American film and television actor and filmmaker. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, until he was ten years old, his family moved to San Jose, California, where he was an outstanding Student and High School Athlete, excelling in Football and Track.

The quest for acting proved more powerful than his athletic dreams. After attending an open call with his mother, Tenora returned to Dallas for extra work in the film Book of Numbers. Filmmaker Raymond St. Jacques spotted the 13-year-old and wrote a lead part for him in the movie.

At 16, Dorsey left Texas for Hollywood to pursue an acting and filmmaker career. To say he was on the right track is an understatement. He has appeared in numerous television and film projects, including Good Times, Diff’rent Strokes, Miracle Of The Heart; A Boys Town Story, 21 Jump St., Booker, Return To Lonesome Dove, Monogamy, 5th Ward, critically acclaimed South Central, The Cherokee Kid, and the award-winning Kings Of The Evening. which he produced. A film and TV business veteran, his respect and passion for his craft have grown after many years of sacrifice and dedication.

A third-generation True “Texas Cowboy,” Reginald was inducted into the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum “Hall Of Fame” in Ft. Worth, Texas. in 2022. His Cowboy passion includes sharing his skills, teaching riding lessons, training and raising horses, competing in rodeos, most notably The Bill Pickett Invitational, where he is Co-Grand Marshal and also others, Winning Championships in Team Roping and Team Penning. Dorsey was also honored in chapter 22 of the outstanding book dedicated to the legacy of African American Cowboys, “Black Cowboys Of Rodeo” – Unsung Heroes From Harlem to Hollywood and the American West.

Dorsey continues his work with children and touches the lives of others in a meaningful way, which continues to be a source of inspiration for him.
