Andre Pitre is an entertainer with experience in theatre, television, film, and music. A true renaissance man, Pitre can successfully captivate an audience in any realm of the entertainment industry. At the same time, Pitre is an athlete and loves sports and mentors youth in Los Angeles, as he has done for the last twenty years.

Pitre’s Music Career Begins

Pitre began his music career in college, receiving his bachelor’s degree in communications and marketing with a minor in Theatre from Prairie View A&M University. During college, Pitre received many awards for his athletic, academic, and musical abilities, including Best Male Vocalist (Solo and Group), Outstanding Freshman Male, and Most Handsome. He acted in several plays as a member of the internationally renowned Charles Gilpin Players and performed at the Talent Showcase for the N.A.F.E.O. in Washington, DC.

Pitre Goes From Group to Solo Career

During Pitre’s first year at Prairie View A&M University, he was a founding member of the trio Rapor (Andre Pitre, Cedric Goodman, and Jeffrey Johnson), won the Homecoming Talent Showcase, and recorded many records. The group’s triumph was a monumental achievement as Rapor was the first freshman group to win the contest in the event’s history. With Johson’s absence, the group continued for two more years. Later, Goodman left, and Andre began his solo career.

Pitre Releases his First Album

Pitre released his first album, This is Andre, on Unitan Records, an independent label, and began touring college campuses and other venues nationwide. Since his first release, Pitre has released several albums and singles, with the latest album, Evolution. The first single from the album is You, a sultry, heartfelt ballad.

Pitre’s stage, television and filmography include Changes (2021), B.K.S., Best Kept Secret (2020), S.W.A.T. (2020), Red All Over (2015), Undefiled (2013), I Don’t Want to Do Wrong (2012), House Arrest (2012), The Truth (2010), Heaven Ain’t Hard to Find (2010), Love in the Nick of Tyme (2009), Not Easily Broken (2009), and Eve (2005).

Pitre’s Theatrical Work

Pitre is currently the co-owner of a theatrical group with Charnelle Brown (A Different World), where they mentor youth and allow them to live their dreams and work in theatre and film. He is currently working on a stage play, The Black Man. After a successful test run, the play will be released later this year.
